Hey ! My name is Antoine Charvieux, and I am a freelance 2D Artist based in Lyon, France. I graduated from Ecole Emile Cohl (School of Art), in the same city, in 2022. 

Since then I have worked and contributed to a number of different projects, expanding my skills to a variety of different art needs : fantasy illustrations in the TTRPG space, game and concept art for indie games, as well as storyboarding for animation and digital publishing, with both French and international teams.

As a freelance artist (also open to in-studio positions), I am always looking for new cool projects to work on ! Whether you are an individual or a company, needing someone for a shorter or a longer term project, feel free to send me a message explaining your needs ! In art there is rarely a real one-price fits all, and we tend to want to stay flexible, but I also know it can feel a bit opaque to look through a portfolio without knowing what price ranges to expect. I will always have to check in with you and tailor it to your project if you have specific needs, but here is an approximate price baseline for some of the most common commission types, in case this can be helpful :

Character Art (no background, or ground only) :

  • Fully rendered : ~130€
  • Fully rendered portrait or bust close-up : ~75€
  • Black and White : ~110€
  • Digital sketches : 30+€ 

Creature Art (no background, or ground only)  :

  • Fully rendered : 80+€ up to 175+€ for extremely detailed or complex concepts
  • Digital sketches : 30+€

Illustrations :

Fully Rendered Illustration are more complicated to estimate : their price will depend on complexity and a better estimate with full information is definitely needed for this type of artworks. Some rough estimations :

  • at the very minimum 300+€ for simpler scenes (few characters, simple setting),
  • ~500+€ for complex scenes (many characters, complex creatures or detailed setting) ; up to 1000+€ for very specific high complexity/density projects

Maps

Same as with illustrations, it is complicated to give an easy estimation for Maps : their price will depend on complexity and a better estimate with full information is definitely needed for this type of artworks. Some rough estimations or starting prices :

  • B&W line art : from 125-150+€ for less complex ones. Can include line art on a light background texture.
  • Lightly Colored with Line Art : from ~300+€ ; up to 500+€ depending on complexity and depth of color wanted.
  • Fully Colored and rendered Maps : from ~375+€ ; but could go in the 650-1000€ range for very complex projects.
